The Las Vegas Convention Center or the LVCC is one of the largest trade centers in the world. Built sometime in the 1959, the LVCC opened with a 6,300 seating capacity with a connecting 8,400 square meter exhibit hall. When it was completed, it had 149,000 square meter area and a 121,000 square meter exhibition space, making it one of the biggest single level facilities worldwide.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority own and operate the LVCC. It is popular among industry professionals for its flexibility. The Las Vegas Convention Center joins the ranks of a handful of venues with the most modern and functional facilities in the world. This is why the CONEXPO-CON/AGG construction trade show chose the LVCC in 2008 where it occupied around 223,000 square meters worth of space. It stands on 297,000 square meters of space.
The Lobby and Concourse areas occupy over 10,000 square meters of floor space. It also has 144 meeting rooms for smaller conventions and gatherings with a seating capacity that ranges from 20 to 2,500. The registration area and the grand lobby that comprises more over 20,900 square meters, links the exhibit halls with the newly built exhibit and meeting rooms to allow concurrent set up, break down and hosting of multiple events through its 16 exhibit halls that have moveable walls for greater flexibility.
There is free wireless Internet access available within the common lobby areas of the trade center, including the Banners restaurant, which could seat over 700 people, located at the Grand Lobby and the International Food Market Restaurant, which could accommodate around 650 people at a time, at the South Hall. To complete the food and beverage services, there are also 18 fixed concession stands, group meal function spaces and portable snack bars in the area.
The LVCC offers a wide range of top quality services to compliment the meeting and convention facilities.
